Objectives

Current Projects of MindFreedom Virginia.

Celebrate Mad Pride Day, and plan Mad Pride events.
Supply advocates for commitment hearings where requested.
Establish an MFI affiliate or affiliates at the University level in Virginia.
Gain greater access to the media; inform the public about harmful practices.
Educate people about, and lobby for, alternatives to hospitalization and psychiatry.
Plan and carry out political actions: civil disobedience, protest, guerilla theater.
